Hybrid renewable energy system (HRES)

The Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES) Team integrates solar and wind energy to reliably provide off-grid power for the SMRT project.

As the global shift toward renewable energy accelerates, modular power systems and the seamless integration of multiple renewable sources become vital for efficiently powering homes. The HRES Team is dedicated to researching innovative methods to maximize the efficiency of solar and wind energy for remote energy storage.

Leading this initiative, the Sustaingeering Electrical Team has conducted system simulations, including load analyses and energy production estimates. They develop CAD models, Bills of Materials (BoMs), wiring diagrams, and single-line circuit drawings to support the project while prioritizing sustainability. Additionally, they have designed prototypes for the HRES system and contributed to the Sustaingeering Mechanical Team’s development of an electrical storage system for their wind turbine.
