electrical and Software team
The Electrical and Software Team is in charge of the design, development and maintenance of the electrical aspects of Sustaingineering’s Projects!
They are currently working on two projects: the Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES) and the Remote Monitoring System (RMS). The HRES project involves powering a system using a combination of solar panels, a wind turbine, and battery storage. The RMS project collects data on both environmental variables such as temperature and humidity, and system variables like voltage and current. Both projects will be tested on the Sustainable Mobile Research Testbed (SMRT) project.
THIS YEAR’S GOALS
To design and assemble a hybrid renewable energy system to power the SMRT project using solar panels, batteries, and other control components.
Monitor and test the SMRT by building and implementing a remote monitoring system.
